Have you ever wondered about the seam on a countertop? What it might look like? What it might feel like? Why it's necessary?

A countertop is generally seamed for three reasons; (1) the countertop is longer or taller than the slab, (2) the countertop cannot physically make it to its final destination, or (3) the risk of breaking during transport or installation is too great.

A seam is essentially the process of gluing two pieces of stone together. A standard seam is something you can both see and feel but is not strikingly noticeable. When it comes to material that has veins or patterns, we will try to match the pattern as best as we can but a perfect match is not always guaranteed
